Did you know that 167 First Nations or First Nations Organizations are currently in some form of Intervention (3rd Party) Management?
Why is this happening?
Is it because of poor, or non-existent, early indicators of a looming crisis? Or perhaps, it’s a lack of communication between Band Management and Political Leaders?
Once a community or organization enters this situation, are the default management options that are put in place actually aimed at building or training staff (Capacity Development) and helping to steer this community away this dire situation?
Or is a First Nation community or organization in Intervention Management viewed as a ‘cash cow’ by those put in place to remedy the situation?
I think we can all agree something has to change!
