Tips for planning your Sage 300 ERP Install

Frustrated Sage computer userSage 300 ERP Install – How to ensure a smooth installation.

Quite often we have clients that experience issues with servers or workstations being replaced and as a result their Sage 300 ERP software needs to be re-installed and setup again.

Sometimes their IT person is familiar with the installation and just goes ahead and sets it back up thinking that everything is fine until we get a call from the client saying they have an error logging into Sage.

There are many things to consider when going through a Sage 300 ERP install after replacing a server or a workstation and if you call us when this happens or know when it will happen we can provide some preventative maintenance steps to take to make the transition smooth.

Some things that need to be considered are licensing issues, for example, software can only be installed and activated on one computer as it will not allow you to install and activate software again on another workstation unless it is deactivated on the original computer first.

If your Sage certified installer is made aware of the issue then we will help you plan to ensure a smooth transition.

To eliminate days of frustration with an error logging in to your financial software and your certified installer back tracking to find the cause of the issue it is better to make sure we are aware of the issue from the beginning when it comes to your Sage software.
